“A watch is a timepiece that is made to be worn on a person. The term now usually refers to a wristwatch, which is worn on the wrist with a strap or bracelet. In addition to the time, modern watches often display the day, date, month and year, and electronic watches may have many other functions.” this is what wikipedia.org has to say about the Watches. But i feel in today’s world the Watch is a Fashion Statement about the person wearing it.

The Study Ball – Finish your homework before going to play

study ball

The Study Ball is allegedly a real $115 product that prevents you from moving from your desk while you're supposed to be studying. Obviously, it's a complete sham unless it weighs at least 200lbs, because I can lift twice that with my littlest piggy.

The Study Ball gadget is a prison-style ball and chain that you can program to keep track of how much time you spend studying. Once you've selected the desired duration, you chain the ball to your ankle and the manacle won't come off until the schedule study time is up.A red LED indicator displays the "Study Time Left" and keeps you informed as to how much longer you've got to keep studying. The ball and chain are made of highly durable steel and weighs a total of 9.5 kg / 20.95 pounds, which makes it difficult to move while wearing it.
21lbs, pfffft. That's not gonna stop anybody from doing anything. Including, but not limited to: robbing a liquor store. ALL THE BOURBON OR YOUR ANKLE GETS IT! What? NO THIS AIN'T NO SKIP-IT! Via

On Air Wrist Watch

ON-AIR-Wrist-Watch

ON AIR Wrist Watch designed by Turkey designer Iskender Asanaliev. Its hour hand points to position of the hour and also displays the minutes digitally, Cool, I love this design.
"ON AIR Wrist Watch shows time in an extraordinary minimal way. While LED display shows minutes in number, its position shows us the current hour. Display is also function as a light and set button. If you push once LED lights up. To set the time you need just to push in the center of the display for 5 seconds and LED flashes, here you push upper or lower corner of the display to set the hour and the left and right corner to set minutes."

Latest Watch Designs

IMG-6062

The Black version is the latest addition to Issey Miyake's TO: Automatic Collection designed by Tokujin Yoshioka. The watches are characterized by an appearance of solidity, making a strong statement with their substantial, sculpture –like designs. While continuing the concept on a watch carved from a single piece of metal, the design has been further refined.

IMG-4422

The company Tokyoflash has just launched the Negative watch. Available in polished silver or polished black, Negative's LCD screen is always displaying the time, allowing the wearer to read it with a quick glance. What really brings this design to life is its multi color LED light guide. At the touch of a button, the display can be backlit with one of seven user selectable colors, a feature that is most impressive at night.

Infection is the name of a new watch launched by Tokyoflash. The watch impresses with an original design combining sleek curves, tri-colored LEDs and a pulsating new display. Featuring a creatively designed full face mirrored lens and an innovative way to view time, no one is immune to Infection. Housed in a smart new case, Infection is ergonomically designed to neatly fit the contours of your wrist, the tapered edges providing a smooth transition between the case and lens.

Urwerk present UR-202 - the world’s first watch with the winding rate regulated by fluid dynamics. With the UR-202, Urwerk have taken the traditional idea of using air friction and refined it to control the rate of automatic winding. The traditional rotating vanes of the past have been replaced by cutting-edge miniature twin turbines - miniature air compressors - which can be seen spinning on the back of the watch.

IMG-5254_UR-103

With the UR-103 models, Urwerk  takes its 'no limits' approach to haute horlogerie ever further. Four orbiting and rotating satellites display the hours, with each satellite indicating the time in a both analogue and digital fashion as it arcs across the minute chapter. This sophisticated and groundbreaking complication is the result of years of research, development and testing. The principle technical challenge was ensuring excellent isochronal performance of the satellites while minimizing friction and loss of energy.

GOM Media Player

The moment I opened GOM Player, I realized that's how a media player should look. Ok, maybe the colors and icons aren't great, but nobody's perfect and you can always change the skin.

GOM Player, the most popular media player in South Korea, is free, has a simple interface and includes many advanced features. The player includes many codecs (DivX, XviD, MP4, AC3), so you don't have to download them. It's also possible to watch incomplete AVI files or play media files while you download them.

There are options that improve the quality of videos (the player is optimized for TV OUT), boost sound.

gom

It's not better than VLC or MPlayer, which are open source and cross-platform, but it's easier to use.
