3D Displays from Philips

 3D Display01

Don't count Philips as the first outfit to dream up a 3D display that allowed you to leave the eyewear at home, but it looks like the technology is coming ever closer to the mainstream -- for better or worse. The firm has reportedly developed a 20-inch LCD "designed to increase brand awareness and attention value of products at point-of-sale locations," and is showing off the (literally) eye-popping effects at this week's InfoComm. Of course, this rendition seems to be aimed at businesses rather than consumer applications, but we'd expect to see more where this came from as the WOWvx-equipped lineup expands.

3D Display02

The newest duo consists of a frame-mountable 20-3D2W01 (pictured above) and a more decorated 20-3D2W04 if you're wanting a bezel and stand. As expected, there's no word yet on pricing or availability, but feel free to peep another shot of the third-dimension after the break. (source : engadgetdotcom)

Webcam Photo Frame

359893_gs (1)

One's desk is an important space. A space to be cherished and protected from the incursion of one's neighbours. A space to contain personal effects as well as vital workplace tools. And, above all, a place for total control of one's dominion via a battery of gadgets, gizmos and devices. So it is with pride that we present the latest in a line of high-tech accessories - namely a state-of-the-art webcam complete with a fully detachable 1.8-inch digital photo frame.

359893

Coming complete with 8MB of memory, the frame element stores up to approximately 56 images in GIF, BMP or JPG format. And, as it's fully detachable, you can move it around the office to demonstrate the beauty of one's family (and therefore the quality of one's gene pool). The digital photo frame is recharged when plugged into the base, ensuring the lights never go out.

The integrated webcam is designed for complete compatibility with all the major instant messaging applications including MSN, Skype and Yahoo. With a bit of know-how, it can even be used for video conferencing, keeping you completely connected, without moving a muscle from your desk.

If that's not enough to satisfy one's desire for total command of one's empire, the device also tells the time, date and temperature. And yes, it's even got an alarm to remind one to wake up for one's next meeting. Splendid.

Features
  • Integrated 1.8-inch photo frame and webcam
  • CSTN screen
  • Lithium rechargeable battery
  • 300K CMOS web cam sensor
  • Compatible with Windows 98, 2000, XP and Vista
Specification
  • Dimensions: Height: 5.0cm Width: 5.0cm Depth: 5.0cm
  • Weight: 0.4Kg

Time by Water - The Fountain Clock

Water Fountain Digital Clock Displays the Flow of Time. Digital clocks may be the norm these days, but the Kanazawa Station Fountain Clock is a delightfully liquid variation on the theme. Kanazawa is a pleasant city of about a half-million situated on the coast of the Sea of Japan. Known in times past for its exquisite decorative artwork featuring precisely worked gold leaf, Kanazawa has a new claim to fame: its amazing digital fountain clock that displays the time using controlled fountains of water.
